My quick rating - 4,5/10. It is that time of the month again for Bruce Willis. Another STV and sure to be a stinker. And I will keep watching them like lemmings since I am such a fan of his. So far, this may be the best of the new Edward Drake made Willis vehicles. ANd trust me that is not saying much. One thing this one also has going for it is a fairly good supporting cast. The story is a "not" that original idea of a town being run by a corrupt officer and the burnt-out ex-NY cop turned local Sherriff being stuck in the middle. A gang takes a rich doctor hostage and demands information about a missing girl and Willis is the one on the scene to figure out why these local kids would've done this. This is where part of the bright spot occurs. Anna Hindman does far too good of a job here as one of the distraught hostage-takers. Her performance along with my usual bias brings this one up for me but it still falls flat due to being an 8-day production of a worn-out idea that brings absolutely nothing new to the table. I won't bother going much into this one since everything you would expect to play out does. I am going to guess that Willis spent about an afternoon on the set along with Trevor Gretzky, son of a legend who actually isn't bad at all either. They don't shy away from the violence when it is time to be shot but also the scenes are also nothing exciting either. Only for fans or if there isn't much else on but if trying to keep up with the monthly cycle, at least this one doesn't anger you by the end. I wasn't pissed off.
