My quick rating - 3,7/10. Went for an unknown one tonight since it most likely sucks which fits in for when I am working. And they wasted no time in introducing a character I look forward to getting murdered in Angelina Danielle Cama as Cassie, the "misunderstood" kid dragged by her family on a summer vacation. Shortly thereafter, our filmmakers then had our little princess meet a couple of locals at a bar and gently talk them into breaking and entering the house the WHOLE town knows to stay away from. Just that easy since that is how I am sure people that fear what is going on in that place would jump at the first random stranger's idea to climb in their window. I mean, the local bar only has a bulletin board with all the pictures of people that have gone missing and are suspected to be abducted by that family, why not sneak in? I typically get something out of the middle of nowhere families story since they usually incorporate at least one good character in there, either just overly violent, or amusing but this was a couple of siblings that had the appeal of repeatedly tying your shoes laces for fun. And the cover for this is quite misleading since first, you would think any of the actors were known or had talent. That would be a NO on both accounts. Second, the pick axe would seem to be the death weapon of choice but expect to see a rifle used far more often. With no gore or suspense, I might add. The reason this is labeled partially as the mystery is also predictable from a mile away so don't expect anything twisty going on. Just a run-of-the-mill and adequately made flick that is weak in all aspects of the genre. Click below to check it out on Amazon if for some reason that sounds appealing or just click for fun.
