Bloodbath At The House Of Death (1984)

Updated: Oct 24, 2021

My quick rating - 5,3/10. Apparently, someone in the UK saw "Student Bodies" and figured there had been some new material released to parody, why not give it a shot. But I will say this has something that the US flick didn't have anything close to. Vincent Price. A true legend graces this flick and absolutely is the highlight of the whole flick. Not to knock the rest of this movie since it actually hits more often than misses with the jokes and still is pretty damn funny, 37 years later. I had never seen nor heard of this one, and am very pleasantly surprised to run across it. The story is quite simple and just there to move from joke to joke. A certain house has a "legacy" tied to it of being where a large number of people are "randomly" slaughtered. I use that term since it is part of the joke and don't want to give it away. But we soon find out the town is basically littered with cult members who are attempting to bring Satan to life. Definitely worth finding and don't let a mediocre score fool you. There aren't many really good horror spoofs out there, and just because there are a few too many lulls in this one to really elevate it to cult status, it surely has just that in the UK I am sure. IF you know the timeframe, I am sure you can guess the flix they jest, but not even E.T. avoided a poke.
