Habit (2021)

Updated: Sep 3, 2021

My quick rating - 2,9/10. It started off interesting but after about 15 or so it just flies right off the rails into obscurity. My positive view of Bella Thorne is really turning into wonder if she is an actress because she is an attention whore (AW is how I nicked those people decades ago). This whole flick about hiding out as nuns to avoid being killed is far more about cute girls flaunting a complete lack of talent. I also have to really wonder what happened to Gavin Rossdale. I suppose the days of the lead singer are done, but he surely doesn't have to step down to the level of this crap. I am sure between these actors and the song "Swallowed" I could fit in a joke about how they got their roles...

The characters are awful including the overly dramatic bad guys. I am allowed to still use the term "bad guys" for being of all gender, correct? There are two of them that try so hard to be campy figures, a woman who is so terrifying for some unknown reason and a dude who is about as scary as resetting the clock on your microwave. The scenes are strung together poorly to tell the story, as complex as it is. The action is fairly bland minus one violent scene that is about all that was memorable. Oh, a couple of jokes that didn't fall flat did score a point for me. Pretty embarrassing overall and definitely not recommended.
