My quick rating - 3,5/10. I just went for a shuffle without a genre specified since nothing is jumping out at me. Very disappointing when compared to "Molly" both of which were made by Thijs Meuwese. This is actually a prequel to Molly and all the things about that indie sci-fi that gave it character seemed to vanish. THe feeling of wondering how he was able to make things look that good on so little money is gone. So I never got that "How did he do that?" feeling throughout this one. More often I was saying "Why did he do that?" I will have to look and see if this was shot with a cellphone since it sure looks like it. Put your seatbelt on since this thing is shaking ALL the time, regardless of what type of scene it is. No charm, horrible overuse of shaky cams, complete lack of developing Molly, the list of issues goes on. But I won't. It is bizarre how uneven this whole flick was. At times the characters will have some good chemistry and make you believe what the mercenaries are trying to do in saving Molly and in others, aside from vomiting due to vertigo, you are noticing the weird stunts that seem to be edited wrong making it look even more unbelievable. Usually, scenes involving the suit such as that pictured below are the culprits of the weird action scenes. All I can say is if you did see the first one, you MAY want to check it out for the story part but don't be hopeful since aside from breaking her out of some research facility, we learn virtually nothing more about her. I haven't read about a third flick in the story, nor does Thijs Meuwese have anything pertaining to it listed on IMDB but who knows. I am just mad since I have to keep this, being a prequel and all.
