My quick rating - 4.5/10. A movie finally decides to tackle the question that everyone (most likely very few actually) were wondering. What happens to the final girl after the horror movie is over? Well, I am fairly sure many decent quality sequels have answered this, but this one tries to hit it head-on, with the opening being the pseudo-end of such a flick. After the girl survives a gruesome serial killer's wrath, she now attempts to settle into a "normal" life, but can't seem to get the visions of what happened out of her head. I would say that part surely makes sense, but this movie is basically unsure if it should stick with straight-up drama at that point, or be another slasher, and that is where this fails. If broken down into 3 parts, it does sit with 2 good and 1 slow as molasses. The problem is that the part that needs to hold your attention is the longest part, and in the middle. Which type of movie this succeeds and fails at is entirely up to you. That is why I could see a wide range in ratings for this. I may have gotten a bit more out of it if the supporting cast hadn't acted so poorly.
