My quick rating - 2.8/10. It seems we have a horror anthology with the encompassing story of something about a woman (Candy) who is just surviving alone during an attack on the country. This will likely be further explained between the 4 horrific tales from 5 up-and-coming indie filmmakers. The first story is a pretty tame vampire story that loosely resembles the superb Near Dark with the characters portrayed. Don't get excited since it has absolutely no plot, even for a short. The second story was a weak mash-up of possession and the "Bloody Mary" urban legend. To give you an idea of where else they may have gotten some ideas from, it features someone "boiling a bunny." The third offering is a writer who checks into an Airbnb-type situation to try and get away from people and get some time alone. I will say that Will Devokees as the author does a good job playing the entitled asshole. He is immediately tormented by some obnoxious noises coming from above and feels he must take care of it himself. The entrance to the attic is locked so he figures his way up there and I will let the rest be up to you to discover. It isn't the most enthralling creature feature you have ever seen. In between these stories, you realize each segment is coming from the radio broadcast that Courtney Lynn is listening to. The fourth installment introduces us to Morgan (Krystal Pixie Adams) who is struggling to get some food in her belly before a romantic date. At first, we aren't sure why the meat isn't going so well until we see she is actually a vampire and trying not to kill. But when everyday steak isn't working she goes out on a hunt for the real deal. I will give the writer credit for this one since it took a clever twist at that point. And with the quality of the scenes so far, I definitely don't want to spoil it for you. Her date Jake does all he can to spoil it though with his horrendous acting and you can look his name up if you'd like to see how pretentious he is. As you would expect, this all gets wrapped up with the initial story and the final destination Candy (Lynn) arrives at. There is a consistent quality to each installment and it is below average, to say the least. If you were hoping for a classic Halloween anthology to scare you to sleep, you better venture further down the virtual aisle past this one.
