My quick rating - 6.5/10. The documentary lineup caught my eye. I really enjoyed the content provided and the people involved. The message that was conveyed was presented admirably but the actual editing was very distracting at times. I don't believe they took the time to view the product in the finishing stages since there are quite a few shots where there is a white background with a guest's name written in white, in other words, you won't be reading who that person was. It may sound like nitpicking but it gets annoying when you want to know who the celebrity guitar player was, or what band the camp counselor played with. Summer camp is in session as we journey to Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, where dreamers from across America and around the world gather to shred with their heroes - and learn to rock like the legends. Rock Camp is an institution and cultural phenomenon that has been going on in Los Angeles, New York, and other cities since 1996. The brainchild of music producer David Fishof, Rock Camp boasts a jaw-dropping array of rock star "counselors" that include Roger Daltrey, Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, Nancy Wilson, Jeff Beck, and countless other rock legends. The joke that Stanley makes when asked by a camper about jamming with Bruce Kulick alone is worth watching this for. The counselors teach, inspire, and jam with the campers over the course of four days. Each Rock Camp concludes with all of the counselors and their respective campers performing together.
