Scrapper (2021)

My quick rating - 4,9/10. I had not read anything about this one so went in very much blind. What I got was a mixed bag since the story is actually quite strong for a shorter flick while the acting is pretty stiff across the board. One thing I noticed was that when it decided to be violent, they did not pull any punches in the slightest. Aside from the gore, the illegal immigration story that leads into the mob-like crime in this played out very realistically. Well, what I would think it would be, I can't say from first-hand knowledge. This war between Punjabi and Mexican criminals seemed very realistic. And after a botched robbery by Myles Clohessy he must end up in a fight to survive against both sides. Not a bad time killer but nothing I would revisit again.
