Stealth (2005)

Updated: 6 hours ago

My quick rating - 5.3/10. Don't need to think too much about this one. Strictly for the effects and the stealth aircraft action. The plot was an afterthought. So the 3 elite chosen pilots (and how P.C., a black man, a white man, a woman), surprised they didn't go a step further and have the woman be Asian or Indian). Joking aside, the texted intro to these 3 being chosen is just as silly. So they are introduced to the future, a stealth craft that is 100% automated, which, of course, goes rogue. I am sure you can figure out the rest. It looks good, and when I say looks, I know you are thinking that stealth planes are supposed to be nearly invisible. SHHH.... don't tell the directors, you can see them clear as day, all movie, and so can the enemies. At one point late in the show, the plot point reveals the evil officer gave up the craft's heat signature, but that doesn't explain away the rest of the movie up until then. So one major hole there, and don't worry, there are plenty more of them where that came from, so if you are into picking movies to shreds, this one will be heaven. But for the popcorn and eye candy, this one doesn't look bad, even now. I also happen to be a fan of 2 of the 3 in the cast. Sorry, Lucas but you didn't make that cut.
