My quick rating - 6.7/10. Finally, a well-thought-out and original idea. A new drug has hit the streets, and people are turning up dead after using it. A couple of medics are first on the scene and begin to notice they all have one thing in common, Synchronic. But after one the the paramedic's daughters is affected by the designer drug, Anthony Mackie begins to notice a certain side effect that may be out of this world. Since he is going through his own issues, popping a pill to see isn't out of the realm of possibility for him, and he realizes it may actually open a door to another dimension. The mystery of the deaths and the drug may all be linked, and this movie does a very good job of keeping your attention to find out if they are. I liked the acting in this one as the interactions seemed pretty realistic in all ranges of emotion. The explanation of what is happening does get a bit muddled at times, but if you don't mind letting some inconsistencies go, I think you will enjoy it.
