Taeter Burger (2023)

Updated: Oct 2

My quick rating - 5.6/10. This flick is exactly what you’d expect from Necrostorm: an over-the-top, blood-soaked spectacle with little regard for logic or serious storytelling. Set in the year 2161, the plot follows an android and three employees of a fast-food chain that serves human meat as they battle against an army of mutant terrorists. Yes, you read that right, and that pretty much sums up the wild, absurd ride you're in for.

The movie's strength lies in its insane gore. If you're a fan of practical effects and don't mind copious amounts of blood and guts, this movie delivers in spades. The kills are ridiculous, grotesque, and often laughably exaggerated, giving the film its signature Necrostorm vibe. However, if you attempt to take this movie seriously for even a moment, it will lose all its charm. The performances are, frankly, not worth mentioning. The acting is as absurd as the premise, but that seems to be part of the appeal. This movie isn't about character depth or emotional weight. It's a visual experience meant to be enjoyed for its sheer madness. In summary, Taeter Burger is a movie that revels in its absurdity. It’s not for everyone, but if you're a fan of campy, gore-filled sci-fi horror with a larger budget than usual for Necrostorm, this film might just hit the spot. Just leave your expectations at the door, sit back, and enjoy the carnage.

Unfortunately, Justwatch doesn't have any streamers for this one, Necrostorm does.
