My quick rating - 5,6/10. If watched first, you would have never guessed this was made on a mere 30K budget. This is what happens when talent actually takes over a production. The movie itself is very simple in nature and almost a silent film, really. Heck, it is just under the requirement of a full length feature as well at 72 minutes. A man has his daughter killed by a monster, and he is dedicated to killing the monster. In this, the director creatively does this not with half ass effects and battles, but more with the suggestion of how these battles occurred and allows you to fill in the blanks as to how it looked. The hero leaves his abode all suited up for battle, and returns bloody and beaten with the head as a trophy to add to his collection. The only battle that you do see is just enough to give you an idea of how it plays out. So well done, and the scenery in this is just so impressive. Each camera shot is taking with a purpose and utilized to tell more of what is going on especially sine there is rarely a word muttered. That makes sense since there really is only three characters in the whole movie at all. This is just an example of what can be done in the right hands, and I expect Jordan Downey will be doing more on this scale as opposed to previous work. Yes, I kid you not, he directed "Thankskilling" lol
