My quick rating - 4,5/10. Another horror anthology that snuck down during the Xmas rush. The story that keeps it all together involves a couple checking out a house to potentially purchase and the realtor giving the stories that occurred in the rooms. Or did they? He liked to play off the stories as some joke which was amusing at first but the joke grew stale. The stories themselves really weren't that good nor memorable. The point of each was exactly what is in the title. Splatter blood all over the place in arbitrary ways for the reaction. So at least the makers weren't being subtle. The acting is pretty bad when being polite. The wrap up/setup for the sequel may have been the best story of all although the rest of them were just so poor that I am not sure if that is even a good thing. I did find that some of the camerawork and effects were above their budget so an A for making the most of what you have. But aside from being left with a dark comedy feel for an ending, the rest is completely a waste of time getting you from one gore scene to the next. I think I am just feeling generous since I believe they had the best intentions in mind but just didn't have the stories to back up the overall project. Admittedly I kept this one since maybe someday I'll give it a second chance. I know, I am kidding myself. Oh, and having "critically acclaimed" in the synopsis is a massive reach.
