Werewolves Within (2021)

My quick rating - 6.3/10. Well, I will admit my first thought when this started was "Hey, that is Lily from the AT&T commercials." So, I am glad Milana Vayntrub is getting work outside of there, and she is quite good in a quirky role here. Werewolves Within is from Ubisoft, so it is spawned from a game I admittedly never played. The good news is the game-to-movie curse that EWE Boll has driven into the depths of "worst movies ever" has not fallen on this one. He has nothing to do with it, and this movie is very entertaining.

The casting is on target for all the strange characters that are presented throughout this mystery movie. Set in a small town, a new ranger (Sam Richardson) arrives to keep the peace, and when he arrives, the whole community is immediately under attack from "something." People start mysteriously dying, and as in this locale, everyone is a suspect and paranoid. The duration of this keeps you wondering who the monster is, if there is even a monster, and if anyone will survive this snowed-in village. Good comedic timing, along with some quality performances, make this one worth a watch all around. Don't expect loads of gore to carry this one, just the sheer amusement will suffice.
