Zarna Garg: One In A Billion (2023)

Updated: Dec 14, 2025

My quick rating - 6.0/10. She definitely brings a unique perspective to the stage, being a native of India. Most of the highlights here involve direct comparisons to living in the USA versus how life was for her growing up. As an unapologetic, Indian-Immigrant mom, she has plenty to joke about, and the punch lines come fast and furious. A good background while I was working, since this never requires watching to get the full effect, minus her jokes about the "bindi." It is quite nice seeing someone who really gets it on stage about living her dream, since you can clearly tell how appreciative of this opportunity she is by the way she speaks of being there. Though some of the jokes don't quite connect with my demographic, her presentation is entertaining, and her family is very tolerant of the things she says about them. Case in point, she brings her whole family up at the end, so they hear her jokes and some zingers about her kids were hilarious. IF you are thinking of checking this out, just know it is completely family-friendly as well, so no worries about the f-bombs being dropped. Then again, you can kind of just make that assumption by looking at her. For a first-time special, I can say she will be showing up again since Zarna holds the stage well and keeps the timing of the jokes flowing smoothly.

Amazon is the only game in town for this one.
