Dreamcatcher (2021)

My quick rating - 2,4/10. That ended and a 3 sounded a bit too healthy, but close. Two sisters are reunited and get to go to the exclusive rave "Cataclysm" I only point out the name since it is far more exciting than the persons house/warehouse/stage set at high school that they used for the $150 ticket. Well at the big DJ Dreamcatcher show, since he is headlining, one of the chicks has a bad trip and offs herself. Then the rest of them who stood there and watched her do it, I might add, are told take a bribe or their lives will be ruined. Pretty big stretch right there as it is, but push reality off. So for the next 24 hours they are seemingly stalked by the killer, who by the way, a slasher movie without kills and gore is pretty damn boring. So sprinkling in this stalking is a bit of supernatural, well, maybe, and then a couple mystery killer twists, of course, all being done without killing all but 1 person. And then the big middle finger at the end!! The writer (who is the director, first and hopefully last time) Jacob Johnston realized that throughout the rest of the movie, there was no explanation for anything that has happened so they ducked behind a be all conclusion. No, not as bad as the "whole movie was a dream sequence" one, but pretty damn close. Lazy as all hell finish to a movie that really didn't have much promise anyway. I have no idea what i saw or read that had me put this #turkey onto my radar but do yourself a favor, avoid it!
