My quick rating - 6,4/10. Seems like Netflix was able to entice Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in his first-ever TV show. Interesting timing with Tulsa King popping up late last year starring fellow action mogul Sylvester Stallone. Regardless, Schwarzenegger plays a C.I.A. operative on the edge of retirement who discovers a family secret and is called back into the field for one last job. The whole show is actually pretty enjoyable even though it is purposely filled with every cliche you can think of. Luckily they are doing so as more an homage to the action movies you are used to seeing instead of taking it seriously since that would've been a disaster. Instead, we are given a pretty enjoyable show that gives Arnie some room to have fun with the situation he finds himself in. Monica Barbaro plays his daughter who ends up being a major point of his being recruited back into the field. Also leads to the vast majority of the intrigue as well. They did a good job casting the parts to surround him with some quirky characters. Each brought a different outlook on the whole scenario which I am being a bit vague about due to not wanting to spoil it. Overall, I had fun with this one, and binging it is a perfect way to enjoy it over a weekend. I will be on board if a second season comes around.
