Moon Knight (2022)

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

My quick rating - 7,2/10. As expected, I would forget to come back and give a rating. This is quite different from the standard MCU fare. It is introducing us to a superhero that is bound by mental illness. The casting for this was about as good as it gets with the acting at all levels being far above average. The story of Moon Knight is that of an everyday museum worker that finds he has been granted the powers of an Egyptian g-d, how this is woven into his split personalities though is much better to be watched than just read about. This might be where it turns some people off since this one definitely requires a bit more thinking than one is used to. Still, it does bring the rest of what you are expecting from the action. The locations look fabulous throughout as well. It definitely is one of the more unique shows to come along from Marvel. Hopefully, the psychological nature didn't turn too many people off to not give it a second season since there is a lot more that can be discovered here. As with any TV show, I found the episodes were up and down in quality so taking it as a whole is the way to go. Looking forward to more.

This is one I have been waiting for since this was one of the more obscure comics I used to read back in the day. Currently streaming on Disney+ if you are interested and it just started. I'll be back with updates or a final thought at some point.
