Of Silence (2014)

Updated: Feb 10, 2023

My quick rating - 2,1/10. This flick is just painfully boring. The whole movie is basically Jeremiah Sayys wandering around his home with an "i lost my dog" look on his face. In the story, it seems he has lost his wife and they cannot be bothered to truly explain how. The one-man show is interrupted briefly by some family members that really don't add much to the story except that Sayys character Colby is possibly going insane. As he is wandering around having flashbacks of his departed wife, there is occasional growling of either a creature after him or he is just really hungry. Again, we don't really get much of an answer to the boogeyman roaming around. There is a slight bit of info given about a scuba diving accident but to add to the many flaws of this flick, the sound is mixed really poorly and makes many of the speaking parts inaudible. This is not at all reflected in the sound of the monster creeping around which fit perfectly. Still, the whole flick is just a painful 93-minute exercise in patience. I wish I had it in me to turn movies off when I can see how boring they are going to be, but alas, another movie was watched on your behalf so you don't need to see it.

The good news? Of Silence is not available for streaming.
