My quick rating - 2.2/10. The sound quality is pretty bad. I would guess they are using the mic on their smartphone for recording since it often sounds like a slight echo and as if they are sitting in a cardboard box. But it started off with some promising heavy music at least. The flick begins with a couple arguing during a car ride and ends up lost somewhere in the woods. Their acting sets the tone of what to expect throughout the whole film and it isn't positive. After discovering a house in the middle of nowhere, they are invited in by a strange man who decides to entertain them with some stories from his days as a detective. And so the anthology begins. The first story is about the terrifying "Muffin Man" LOL. Nope, I am not making this up and with that first interaction, I cannot believe Geno McGahee expects anything but laughs out loud at it. Apparently, some demon which is that thing pictured below, is killing children so a recently suspended cop is going to stop it. It is laughably stupid interactions along with horrible acting and NO suspense to speak of. Someone should explain to McGahee that showing the "Muffin Man" from an angle where you can clearly see the cheap ass mask being used is not a good look. One pathetic tale down. If I was this couple, it would be time to request MORE than that single bottle of wine. Apparently, the stranger is up to something though since he is lying about his attempt to call for help. Time for another trope, the "walk in the opposite direction for X amount of time and end up back at the car" routine. Story two is about a guy who has a client who seems to have encountered aliens. This is due to him working for some secret organization that investigates these things. To prove this, he gives him an alien head in a jar. If the description sounds boring, you should see this nonsense. The blood and effects are clearly budget limited but I wish they would've at least tried a little bit. There is a third story but you most likely hit stop by now. I'll put it this way, the woman picks up a book and starts reading which tells about some woman interacting with an evil guy. That was about the extent of it and it had nothing to do with what was going on already. This is so painfully amateur that I really wonder how it made its way onto digital. At that point, it merges the stories being told into the old man's reality to give a complete albeit stupid ass story. I won't elaborate on the off-chance you check this out since it ends up involving the Muffin Man and the aliens working together. I wouldn't want to spoil the big plans they have. 83 minutes of time you won't get back so consider yourself lucky there is nowhere to find it. On the plus side, they must've had fun since there was no pressure to produce anything good.
Not sure where this came from since Justwatch doesn't turn up anything.
