My quick rating - 3,6/10. I watched the third one the other night and wasn't impressed (REVIEW). I am only watching the first one because I should at least give it a chance and it is under an hour. Turner Clay decided to prove ghosts exist after being a successful director of zombie flix (look that up, his movies sucked and bombed beyond belief.) In other words, he had to come up with something to change career paths and this is it. I know I have already seen by far the most impressive part of this movie. He seems to be an actual pilot and flew himself and his wife to the location of the haunting. The truth about this flick and I am sure all 7, yes SEVEN of them is that they are just cash grabs that for some unknown reason people are biting on. It is repetitive nonsense that no one in their right mind would believe. You are more than welcome to believe in ghosts, trust me, I do. But this guy isn't finding anything and his staged constant pounding on doors and gazes at the walls isn't at all frightening. The thing is there are far worse examples of this stuff floating around (usually on youtube) so I do find myself dropping this just above a 3 in my ratings which might be generous to some. The only reason for this is the overall production quality. The use of realistic location helps tremendously. This will be the last one of these flix I waste my time with though, even if it does clock in at 59 minutes. And be careful on IMDB since Clay has legions of fake reviews and raters inflating the scores to make you think you are getting something you are not. It is a well-made glorified home video.
Amazon is the only place to pay for this but luckily a few freebies are available.
