Vendetta (2022)

My quick rating - 2,9/10. Here we have another bad guy who shoots someone's child for no apparent reason revenge flick. This time, it is Clive Standen's daughter that they spend about 3 minutes giving the background of in an attempt to give the audience some sympathy for it. Within the next 5 minutes, we learn he cannot fight for shit, in the town where this is all happening apparently everyone is blind and the bad guys cannot shoot a gun unless it is within 6 inches from a person's body and hit them. Shootouts in broad daylight right outside of a store or diner bring no witnesses in this place. Bruce Willis plays the local town head honcho and he apparently has kids that look wildly nothing like him roaming the streets killing for no apparent reason. More wannabe gangster types that they pulled straight out of other far better movies. The good news is Standen is a marine so all of a sudden that gives him this aura of being a badass. Until they show him fire a gun LOL. He almost pelts himself in the face from the recoil. The level of b-budget silliness is very high in this one. Almost to the point that if they had taken a different route and made this a comedy, that number may be higher. But they try to play this one seriously which is quite sad. The good news is, Mike Tyson is there as a chop shop owner who apparently pays for cars with guns to save the day. The action in this one is terrible since no one can hit the broad side of a barn so you are too busy laughing to pay it any attention. The acting is all over the board but since the script is such a joke, it is hard to take anyone seriously even if they are acting the part just fine. Definitely not one of the better flix to hit the STV market but I will at least keep it out of #turkey range due to the chuckles I got along the way.
