Bigfoot: Path Of The Beast (2020)
My quick rating - 2.4/10. The elusive sasquatch. Been hiding from humans for years and barely ever even photographed. But this dude just wanders into the forest after losing his girlfriend and can find them no problem. Apparently, they are hiding out in a forest right off the beaten path, kind of like the forest preserves you see everywhere. This low-budget effort is pretty damn stupid. I will give them credit for attempting to weave a couple of storylines together, though. N

Starship Troopers: Invasion (2012)
My quick rating 6.4/10. Ok, not drama, but those who know me will realize I won't be posting many drama reviews ( when I wrote this review a decade ago, I had no idea why I saw the need to point that out) . Anyway, this one is a very good anime movie bringing back original characters from the original. The CGI is seamless to the point of you may forget it is CGI. The story is simple: the bugs have taken over a ship and are trying to hitch a ride so they can attempt to breach

Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023)
My quick rating - 5.8/10. I was a fan of the original flix with Michael J. Fox but I can say that I never watched the TV series with Tyler Posey , who is back in this flick. I am pretty damn sure they have nothing to do with each other. Already throwing flashbacks at me, so I can see that watching the series would enhance this movie. Oops. This one is exclusive to Paramount+ right now. Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023) #action #IMDB #Plex

Shotgun Wedding (2022)
My quick rating - 5.2/10. Well, I will say it has a great cast. Jennifer Lopez (Darcy) is by far the star of the show. She and Josh Duhamel (Tom) get their family to all meet up for a wedding extraordinaire on a remote tropical island. In true rom-com fashion, things aren't so easy, and the entire wedding is taken hostage. Conveniently, at the time of the infiltration, the bride and groom are elsewhere, so the hunt for them begins the action. I use the term loosely, though,

Of Silence (2014)
My quick rating - 2.1/10. This flick is just painfully boring. The whole movie is basically Jeremiah Sayys wandering around his home with an "I lost my dog" look on his face. In the story, it seems he has lost his wife, and they cannot be bothered to truly explain how. The one-man show is interrupted briefly by some family members who really don't add much to the story except that Sayys character Colby, demonstrating he is possibly going insane. As he is wandering around h

Grotesque (2022)
My quick rating - 4.4/10. This is the epitome of a guilty pleasure. It starts out with bullying this poor girl for having a large nose. It is comically large on purpose, not just someone with a bigger-than-usual schnooze. The people are straight-up cruel to the poor girl, and the second half of the revenge in this one was well deserved. Elizabeth Chamberlain plays the abused woman who finally decides to get plastic surgery to repair her looks, but she is instead grossly dis

Float (2022)
My quick rating - 2.8/10. I really like it when movies immediately introduce characters that you look forward to seeing get dismembered. This one did right away with a bunch of obnoxious guys and their trophy girls along the way for a trip to "float" down a local river. And what is floating, you might ask? These nimrods are living large, inflating their pool tubes and doing just what that poster looks like, in a leech-filled river barely waist-deep. Talk about really braving

Blood (2022)
My quick rating - 4.6/10. Well, Michelle Monaghan was great in this flick. Her son is bitten by the family dog, and soon after, the kid realizes, while in the hospital, that he must drink fresh blood to survive. Why she ends up so good is how she plays out a single mother who will literally do whatever is necessary to keep her son alive and well. Monaghan is really the only point to watching this flick since it never gets exciting, never turns down a horror road with gore o

Elvis (2022)
My quick rating - 7.2/10. Another Oscar nominee for best picture. Austin Butler was excellent in his depiction of Elvis. Oftentimes, he was holding this movie together since Baz Luhrmann has a tendency to get a bit lost in his own flicks. One thing that stuck out to me in this is the complete lack of addressing the drug problem that Elvis had. I understand trying to keep with the all-American image, but if you are going to show the highs and lows of a legend's career such a
